Intel has officially launched its Core Series 3 processors, a new mobile chip lineup designed to bring powerful performance and AI capabilities to everyday laptops without the premium price tag. Built on Intel's advanced 18A process technology, these mainstream-focused chips deliver substantial performance gains while maintaining excellent battery efficiency.

The new Core Series 3 lineup demonstrates impressive performance metrics across the board. Compared to five-year-old systems, these processors offer up to 47 percent faster single-threaded performance and 41 percent improvement in multi-threaded workloads. GPU-based AI performance jumps by 2.8x. When stacked against Intel's previous-generation Core 7 150U chips, the improvements are equally compelling—the new processors consume up to 64 percent less power while delivering 2.7x better AI GPU performance.

Leading the lineup is the six-core Intel Core 7 360, which reaches peak turbo frequencies of 4.8GHz and delivers 17 NPU TOPS for AI acceleration. The series scales down through additional six-core options and includes a five-core Core 3 entry-level variant with more modest graphics capabilities.

Battery life has been a major focus for Intel's engineering team. The company rates all-day productivity at 12.5 hours for typical office work, with streaming video lasting up to 18.5 hours on a single charge. Modern connectivity features include Wi-Fi 7 support, Bluetooth 6, and dual Thunderbolt 4 ports for high-speed data transfer and charging.

Several major manufacturers have committed to incorporating Core Series 3 chips into their 2026 product roadmaps. Acer plans to launch updated versions of its Aspire Go lineup in 14-inch, 15-inch, and 16-inch sizes. ASUS will introduce the chips in its Vivobook consumer models and ExpertBook professional series. Dell, Samsung, and Lenovo are also developing Core Series 3-based devices, with announcements expected in the coming months.
