PowerWash Simulator 2 is expanding into a galaxy far, far away with an upcoming Star Wars-themed expansion pack. The new content introduces six fresh locations where players can engage in their favorite relaxing cleaning activities across iconic Star Wars settings.
The expansion transports players to legendary planets including Tatooine and Hoth, where they'll complete powerwashing jobs at familiar destinations like the Lars homestead, an X-wing spacecraft, and a Star Destroyer bridge. Developer FuturLab has crafted a unique labor droid character called P0-W2, which serves as the player's avatar throughout these new levels. The expansion supports cooperative gameplay with up to four friends working together on cleaning tasks.
Set during the events of the original Star Wars trilogy, the expansion features an interesting narrative twist. Players initially take on contract work for the Galactic Empire before eventually switching allegiance to join the Rebel Alliance. FuturLab has also packed the expansion with numerous Easter eggs for dedicated fans to discover throughout their cleaning journey.
The Star Wars expansion arrives this summer across multiple platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Players can purchase the expansion for $10 upon release. Notably, FuturLab has established a track record of bringing popular franchises into PowerWash Simulator, having previously created expansions based on Final Fantasy, Tomb Raider, Back to the Future, and Shrek for the original game.
For owners of the first PowerWash Simulator, the Final Fantasy and Tomb Raider expansions will remain available for free until 10AM ET on May 19, after which they'll be delisted from digital storefronts. This move encourages players to experience these branded expansions before their removal.
