TCL has expanded its premium television lineup with the introduction of its first RGB-Mini LED models and additional SQD-Mini LED variants. The new RM9L RGB-Mini LED TV marks the company's entry into the rapidly growing RGB display segment, with pricing starting at $8,000 for the flagship model.

The new QM8L SQD-Mini LED television is now available for purchase, while the QM7L SQD-Mini LED and RM9L RGB-Mini LED models are open for pre-orders. SQD-Mini LED technology represents TCL's latest advancement in Mini LED display engineering, featuring "Super Quantum Dot" layers composed of tiny crystal dots designed to optimize light filtering from the LEDs. TCL claims this approach delivers superior color accuracy while maintaining robust HDR contrast performance compared to previous generations.

The QM8L brings impressive specifications to the premium segment, featuring an anti-reflective panel with up to 4,000 discrete dimming zones, 6,000 nits peak brightness, and Dolby Vision 2 Max support via software update. The more accessible QM7L offers up to 2,100 dimming zones and 3,000 nits brightness while supporting Dolby Vision IQ. Both models incorporate Bang & Olufsen audio engineering and Google TV with Gemini integration.

TCL's RGB-Mini LED approach differs fundamentally from traditional Mini LED designs. Rather than utilizing white or blue LED backlighting transformed through quantum dots and color filters, the RM9L employs discrete red, green, and blue LEDs to achieve richer, more vibrant colors. The RM9L features an anti-reflective display with over 3,800 local dimming zones, matching the QM8L's 6,000 nits peak brightness, plus Dolby Vision 2 support. It shares the premium audio and Google TV features with its SQD-Mini LED counterparts.

The QM8L pricing begins at $2,500 for the 65-inch model, escalating to $6,000 for the 98-inch version. The RM9L RGB-Mini LED television opens at $8,000, positioning TCL competitively within the ultra-premium television market segment.
