The editing process is straightforward. Users can tap the "Edit" option beneath their comment to open a text editing box, make their desired changes, and confirm by pressing the blue checkmark. Meta permits multiple edits within the 15-minute timeframe, giving users flexibility to refine their responses as needed before the window closes.
This update addresses a practical need for Instagram's massive user base. Comments appear across various Instagram surfaces, including Stories since 2024, making an edit function particularly valuable.
